Bring Them In

“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.” John 4:35-36

I’m grateful for those ‘follow me - come to me’ calls of Christ… Andrew, Nicodemus, Zacceheus, Bartimesus, Samaritan woman moments.

When my Gramma cared for her garden, as it ripened, she looked forward to ‘bringing it in’! Not too soon and not too late… she faithfully checked how it was progressing. My dad encourage me to do the same in my care of the ‘field’, the ‘flock’ God entrusted to my care. “The Word you’re preaching is living snd active, Michael. It’s important to visit with your ‘hearers’. Ask them to share with their thoughts, questions, fears, doubts… what they believe God is saying, doing.” Check on the field, the flock… tend it. There may be a ‘birth’ that’s ready to come. A soul God has ripened… the fields are ‘white for harvest’!

Praying for you as you visit with your ‘hearers’.
