Partnering

Partnering with STS: the Consulting Model

Because God’s Word calls the pastor/director to be under the authority of their governing board, it is imperative to have a united team effort. The mentor’s role will be that of a spiritual consultant/advisor. Dynamics of group interaction and one-on-one personal discussions will be employed. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. In order to have openness and candor, all discussions will be considered sacred.

Initial Contact

The first contact will be an onsite visit. The mentor will be observing, moderating, and listening. Individual and group visits with the pastor/director (spouse) and ministry board will be the main area of focus. Each meeting will include specific devotional readings and seasons of prayer.

Preliminary Evaluations

After the initial contact, preliminary evaluations and considerations will be given. These evaluations and considerations will be presented with the anticipation that additional times of discussion will need to occur.

Mentorship Goals

Action steps will be established and methods of measuring progress will be put into place. Over the following year, monthly contacts will be maintained. Hopefully, this will be an ongoing active part of the ministry’s leadership development.
