Rally

For me, Rally Days in the Church’s Fall Calendar were exciting. Teachers and helpers herding excited children and committed parents into the meadows of God’s Word. The invitation of Psalms‬ ‭34:11, “Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” was more than an option; it was a priority. Years ago there weren’t as many competing options.

Today it’s more of a struggle. Nevertheless, more than ever, children, adults, families need to be instructed in the fear of the Lord. As Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” It’s challenging. It’s worth our best effort! As we pray for insight, the Spirit will reveal Biblically effective ways to restore reverence for and an understanding of the Holy One, the Lord God Almighty.

Praying for you, as you boldly champion the priorities of God to a generation in need of discipline.
