A Comforting Shadow

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬

On an extremely hot day, a little shade makes a world of difference. The same is true, when you are in the ‘heat’ of trials and challenges. The shadow of Almighty God’s sheltering care makes all the difference.

The shadow of His presence brings comfort to a soul undergoing the strength-draining trials of life. Trials that come in many forms… health, financial, spiritual, work, relationships, etc. They are hugely stressful. However, He casts a shadow bigger than them all.

What should you do? Abide in God’s shadow. By the way, something that is non-existent can’t cast a shadow… God is real and so is His shadow. Dwell in the shelter of prayer, of fellowship, and the truth of His Word.These are the branches of the Almighty’s shadow of renewing strength and refreshing comfort.

Pray: Almighty God, the shadow of Your presence is my refuge in trials… in life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
