BOO!

“But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world,” 1 Peter 5:9. 

What spooks you in ministry? Finances, conflict, meeting expectations, cold calling, counseling … any of those send a shiver down or up your spiritual spine?

Those who focus on Halloween make a joke out of what is real. To the world it’s all about a make-believe “Boo”. While in life, a real Satan roars and seeks those he can devour.

Many spiritual leaders have been devoured by their fears. He roars, they run. Run a-muck, run away, run helter-skelter, run out of steam … any of those sound familiar?

What’s a leader suppose to do? Take a stand … stand firm, stand up, stand by. Just like Peter says, “Resist him, firm in your faith.”  Yes, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God; cast all your anxieties on Him. He cares about you!

What He cares about, He protects. You have nothing to fear!
