Go - Seek Proclaim
”When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’“ Luke 15:5-6
Is there anything in ministry that is more joyous to the heart of God than a lost soul being saved? Finding and rescuing the lost takes a Holy Spirit movement of searching… a prayerful, heartfelt-conviction of a loving, purposeful effort to GO & GROW the Kingdom!
Some are within reach of our pulpit’s voice and don’t even know they’re lost… evangelistically proclaim “Come to Christ!” Many are lost in their self-righteousness… preach “you must be born-again”. Some, lost in the darkness of sin, never darken your church’s doors… take the Light of Christ to them. Some know they are lost, but have lost all hope of being found… extend the ‘long arm of Christ’ to them. Others know they are lost and don’t care… go and tearfully warn them.
The Christ, who left Heaven to seek and save the lost, calls us to expectantly GO, SEEK, and PROCLAIM His saving Gospel… from our pulpits, in their living rooms, in the public square, in the dark hedges and by-ways of life. When the lost are found and carried safely into the fold, your congregation and all Heaven will rejoice. By the way, has your ministry had a ‘homecoming celebration’ lately? Not a funeral, but a lost soul coming home to Christ. Praying for you!
