He Cares

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” Romans 8:18

My father said, “God doesn’t measure suffering on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 or 10, when it’s your suffering, it matters to Jesus.” Paul wasn’t saying his or our suffering for the cause of Christ doesn’t matter to God. I believe Paul was simply adding one more assurance of our Heavenly Father’s love. Not only does He care, He has already made sure the eternal balance of glory is in our favor. The hymn, Does Jesus Care?, mirrors this comforting truth.

“Does Jesus care when my heart is pained too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress, and the way grows weary and long?

Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.”

Praying for you!
