Humility

“But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but give s grace to the humble.” James 4:6

While it is good to remember that God places great value on us and what He has called us to be, in order to be usable, humility is a must. Otherwise we will lord it over (bully) those we serve. Then God will oppose us and our efforts.

Charles Wesley speaking on humility, said his epitaph should read, “God buries His workmen, but carries on His work.” Remember, none of us is indispensable.

You are valuable to God. May those we serve be valuable to us.
