Let Go

“Do not be eager in your heart to be angry, For anger resides in the bosom of fools.” Ecclesiastes 7:9

This was my devotional verse of the day! Yikes! Seems like it’s easy to get angry very quickly these days. News, political issues, relationships, health, death, finances, frustrating situations, etc… often cause us to feel we have the right to get mad or just be angry!

Hopefully, the thought of being a fool helps us put the brakes on. An angry spirit, angry words, angry thoughts, angry actions, do not accomplish the work of God… even when you’re right! In fact, it undermines your position and/or influence.

What’s a person to do? Hold on to Truth… “for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” James 1:20
