My King

”Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.“ Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭9‬-‭10‬

The Kingship of Jesus is like none other. His sovereignty covers beyond the known universe! Yet, what other King has ever…”emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.“ Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ What other King has… ”Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.“ Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬

In reverent awe and submission, I lift up my head, my heart to acknowledge Him as the King of Glory, King of my life. Jennie Hussy’s hymn, Lead Me to Calvary, proclaims it so clearly,  “King of my life I crown Thee now- Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary.”

From His Christmas manger, to Epiphany, to His Palm Sunday’s entrance on a donkey, to the King’s Good Friday Cross and Resurrection triumph, to His soon coming entrance on a white horse; we are privileged not only to declare Jesus Christ, the Lord of hosts, as the King of glory, but to confidently live and serve under His sovereign reign and care.

Praying for you.
