Pillars and Puddles

Recently a dear pastor friend texted, “A lot of people see me as a pillar. I see myself as a puddle.” As I re-read his text, I replied, “A puddle that depends on God is a pillar in the making. In order to be used by God, those who pridefully see themselves as a pillar must first become a puddle!” I’m sure it could be stated more clearly, but he got it!

Matter of fact, Jesus says it best, “Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.” Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭12‬. From one puddle to another, let’s keep upholding one another in prayer.
