Reconcile

“Who formerly was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me.” Philemon‬ ‭1‬:‭11‬

“Pastor, I’m really disappointed in you.” I’ve rightly heard those words more than once. I’ve spoken out of turn, said something totally unnecessary or in appropriate, failed to make a needed visit, slighted a co-worker… I could easily go on and on. In fact, the descriptive word ‘useless’ comes to mind. Maybe you have had thoughts similar to mine. PTL, He has an answer!

The account of God’s reconciling Philemon and his servant, Onesimus, gives me/us hope. Both of them needed to hear what God put on Paul’s heart. By taking accountability, their difficulties weren’t ‘swept under the rug’, they were covered by the blood of Christ. Satan’s attempt to undermine their faith and tarnish God’s work failed! Praise God! God doesn’t call perfect servants, but He does perfect those He has Called.

By His grace, embrace reconciliation. Is there anyone you need to seek out? No better day, than today! Praying for you!
