Forerunner

“It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬

John the Baptist is the marathon-man of forerunners! Gotta be honest, this is the only type of running to which I can relate! It’s a relay-marathon each of you has engaged. We are in good company! We’re teammates!

This marathon is a heart-turning, spirit changing, pressing-on with and for the Gospel. The same Jesus that John declared had come, we proclaim… He’s coming again! The relay-marathon rally cry remains the same… be ready, repent, believe the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! John’s run was impactful and so is ours. Fathers, children, the wayward,and the faithful are being reached and God is being glorified. Praying for us, as we carry and pass on the Gospel baton. The finish line is near.
