FRIENDS

One of the most meaningful introductions I have ever received was this, “Pastor Brandt is a Free Lutheran church planter and evangelist. However, to me, he is my true friend.”

It meant the world to me. I can only imagine how much it meant to the disciples to hear Jesus say, “No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

This is how I feel about you and more importantly this is how Jesus feels about us! We are friends… His friends. As you go about your Calling of tending, feeding, seeking, caring for His sheep, I hope you’ll remember this… He counts you as His friend, not a slave. He loves you. Because of His love, we can love Him and one another. And by His grace, do what He has Called us to do. All I can say is “What A Friend we have in Jesus!”
