Persevering

“rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭12‬ 

If there’s anything that’s kept me from thinking more highly of myself than I should (vs 3), it’s persevering in tribulation. Especially, when the tribulations are ones members are facing. Ones they desperately hope we’ll know how to resolve.

This past year I’ve been blessed to witness a pastor friend persevere in caring for a couple going through the tribulations of serious marriage issues. His persistent, loving appeals were undergirded by his unwavering hope in God’s Word and sustained by his faith in prayer. Recently, he texted me with the good news that the love of Christ is breaking through. 

Whether we’re facing our tribulations or bearing the tribulations of others, persevering in faith is a ‘sticking-to-it-belief’ that all things are possible with God! Praying for you.
