Praise God! It’s Going to Get Worse!

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.”‭‭ 2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬

Difficulties in ministry have always been around… doing ministry in a fallen world and working with folks, who have an old nature (including ourselves) make it inevitable! However, inside and outside the church greater times of difficulty are here and increasing. It’s easy to become disheartened. 

My father often encouraged me with this thought, “Michael, God told us these days would come. It’s a fulfillment of His Word… and praise God, it’s going to get worse!” No, he wasn’t praising God for the evil. He was reminding me that, no matter what, God has been and always will be in control and the promise of His ‘Coming Again’ is certain.

As you minister in these difficult times, like Paul counseled Timothy… keep proclaiming the saving and sanctifying Gospel of Christ, speak up for righteousness in church and in the public square, endure persecution.  “Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ Remember, the early church was birthed in persecution and by God’s grace they prevailed!
