Sailing & Surges

“And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.) “When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things. But He answered them, “You give them something to eat!” And they said to Him, “Shall we go and spend two hundred denarii on bread and give them something to eat?” Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭31‬,34,37‬

To me, this is a very accurate picture of ministry. A loving Savior caring for our wellbeing. A Savior with eyes and a heart for the needy. A moment of smooth sailing followed by a surge of needs.

At the center of it all is The Savior. A Savior, who more than anyone else cares about caregivers like you. A Savior, who more than anyone else cares about starving, wandering sheep. A Savior, who through your willing obedience will shower His grace on you to more than meet the need.

Praying for you, as you sail into September’s sea of ministry, resting in the confidence that your Savior is at the helm!
