Sincere Thanks

“Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.” Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭15‬-‭16‬

Just one… but it was genuine. The sincere ‘thanks’ of one healed leper speaks loudly. Though 9 lepers took Jesus for granted, Christ’s acknowledgement of one, transformed, Samaritan’s faith reveals His appreciation.

First take-away: like Christ, today’s faithful servants of God are often taken for granted. It was disappointing to Jesus… “Were not 10 healed. Where are the 9?” and it is disappointing when today’s servants are overlooked. Second take-away: the thankfulness of ‘one’ reveals every effort is worth it. Remember God is your audience, from the small to the great, He doesn’t miss a thing. He’s the One! May His ‘well done’ be your greatest ‘thank you’!

As I pray for you, in Christ’s stead I say, “Thank you for your faithful service.”
